Return to Innocence

an optimistic day

I struggled to get up @ 6:50, to have a bowl of cereal before going to work.

Normally I reset the alarm 20 mins later and sleep on.

I rushed out after breakfast and boarded 176, dropped at Jurong East and transferred 197.

I climbed to the 2nd storey of the bus, only one seat was left. Yeah.

It din't take long for me to realize the air con was leaking. Cold droplets of water drip down at intervals, but I was lazy to get up. How cold blooded the people are! Just keeping quiet without reminding others of the problem.

And it soon started raining.

And yea, I don't have an umbrella.

The bus reached around 8:30. If it is a sunny day, i would have been running to the work place, aross an unsheltered overhead bridge. Not today.

So I waited and waited, no sign of rain stop. Finally I boarded another bus 198, alighted @ Bouna Vista and crossed a sheltered overhead bridge, hoping to see NUH shuttle bus where I can't see any vehicle clearly in the crowd and the heavy rain.

In the end, I boarded 198 back. And alighted @ NUS, took an NUS shuttle bus A2 to NUH and a kind lady shared her umbrella when i rushed to the staff canteen from the bus stop.

Today is Duanwu (Dragon Boat Festival). I forgot already. (Again)

Today I have no chance passing by a rice dumpling stall. So just forget it. =X

Haven't eat that for long. Actually I rather the plain one and go with sugar. All locally selling ones are with filling.(still fine for me)

What so disgusting are the oily ones. (lard in particular) Yuck!!!

I went to the airport with Jiao to see 'lv zi' off to London.

She was wearing a pair of grandma's shoes

After that, Jiao and I went to have a bite @ Crystal Jade.

Yuan Yang (blended coffee and tea). I have heard about this Hong Kong beverage for quite long. Heard that it is a symbol of Hong Kong's culture.
















In fact, I don't acquire the taste. It tastes like something rotten. A bit sour and bitter. It is not coffee, it is not tea. I can't tell what flavor it is.

Maybe some people enjoy it. Or maybe the outlet @ Changi Airport has brewed a lousy one for me.

[MATLAB] How to Change the specified pixel value?

Here are 2 images. Original and Processed.

I want to check the white pixels on the Processed Image with the original. If they are white on the original, make it black. If not keep them white.

The code I tried is like this:

>> [row, col] = find(Processed == 1); %Obtain the coordinates of the white pixels
>> if Original(r,c) == 1 %If on the original the they are white
Processed(r,c) = 0; %Make it black
end

Somehow the program doesn't work. It fails to remove any pixel on the Processed Image.

I wonder why school is so stingy. They actually planned lotz of money for student project. Why they don't want to buy a proper version of MATLAB, a software which makes your CPU mad, sometimes.

So fast doing final year project already. My mind is still in year 1.

So whatz wrong with cheap and fake products? You can always opt for expensive and authentic products.

I think, for the first time when I present a powerpoint, people in the 3rd row are able to hear.

Maybe I should thank the LSR lecturer and that module, which requires a hell lot of presentations.

Since then

Since project starts, since the day I moved out, since the day of the last paper, by right I should have plenty time for myself. In fact, not at all.

Busy days still.

How should I say about the aftermath, or the other beginning. I am neither happy nor sad. Everything is averaged, balanced. There are always people who make me feel life is such a meaningless computer program. I have been used to that. No surprises.

Within a week, I need to:

- Move house.
- Take examinations of two modules.
- Participate a Flag Day.
- Give a few times of tuition.

The 1st two are most time consuming.

I will help myself. Coz God helps those who help themselves.
